Bamboo furniture is a style which has been gracing our interiors (and exteriors) since the mid 1800s, and it was a happy moment when a long-standing client asked us to produce a series of shelving units featuring this style!
The bespoke free-standing shelving units were, in themselves relatively straightforward, incorporating four levels of shelving on each, in either a single or a double width. The challenge came when the structure had to be made from lengths of cast brass bamboo! Our team created sample sections in the correct lengths which were then cast in solid brass. The result was a wonderful ‘forrest’ of bamboo shelving units, finished to the client’s request of two nickel-plated units and two in an off-white painted finish.
