We were approached by interior design company Erik Munro with a concept for a bespoke copper and brass cooker hood.
With ready-prepared mood boards illustrating their ideas, we could clearly see what they wanted to achieve and were delighted to be working with them on this project.
Our
bespoke service allows our clients to work with us to achieve their desired look and feel. Our team individually blend specific characteristics, enabling our clients to write their own story creating a beautiful piece with a tailored finish.
Through our
3D visualisation service, we prepared 3D renders incorporating the dimensional information. Our visualisations are an excellent communication tool, bridging the gap between a written design brief or product description and the real thing. As with many of our projects, we provided samples of the patinated
copper, and
antique brass finishes that the client was looking for.
The extractor fan (and ventilation duct) was required prior to being able to commence production (we design and construct our bespoke
cooker hoods around the appliances chosen by our clients, and in some cases, we may be able to assist with the sourcing of extractor units, depending on the requirements). The cooker hood was formed with a substrate framework, providing the shape and structure (all built around the extractor fan unit etc) then wrapped in hand patinated
antique copper sheet, with solid brass trims and finished with solid brass, evenly-spaced rivets.
The result was simply beautiful – a striking structure, with a deep pelmet, framed with the
antique brass edging. The end client was incredibly happy with this eye-catching feature in their recently renovated kitchen.
