A complete refurbishment of a period home, located in a particularly chic area of London was the reason our team were invited to contribute (in several ways) to this wonderful project.
The owner’s master bathroom was to incorporate a bespoke-made washstand, which would accommodate a solid marble top/basin. Our team were tasked with designing and creating the base for the marble top which was also to house a set of drawers. The client’s preferred finish was a brushed nickel, much like a satin finish – luxuriously smooth and soft to the touch, whilst being understated and elegant. The nickel colour is quite a warm silver, which can be a wonderful alternative to the often ‘colder’ shades of chrome etc.
The washstand or vanity stand legs, frame and side panels were produced from solid brass, which were brushed nickel-plated. Almost every element of this solution has been custom-made to the client’s preferences, from the creation of slim-line feet, finals and panels to the bespoke button pulls of the drawers.
