Alongside a number of custom made, aged copper worktops, we worked with a private client’s interior design team for a residence in Hampshire to create a bespoke wall mounted shelving unit. The brief was to provide a unit which was built to fit around fixed items within the private bar. The unit had to be minimal and elegant, whilst incorporating finishes to tone with the room and accompanying aged copper clad bar worktop, which had been previously commissioned.
The resulting piece incorporated both an oak base shelf and toughened glass top shelves, supported in the centre with subtle supports. The copper vertical and horizontal tubular sections were patinated to a gently aged finish, close to that of the previously installed bar worktop also made by our team. The solid brass fixings were prepared to a dark bronze finish which toned with the natural terracotta hues of the room.
